On Good Friday we erected the cross in the carpark overlooking the city as a visible declaration of the purpose of this land — that it is for the glory of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The cross is such a strong symbol of the Church, and we want it to be known that this land has been set aside for a greater purpose.
