For over a century, God has been at work through a small church on the hill in Horsham Downs. Around 1918, a faithful man began travelling by horseback each week to gather local children and families together around the message of Jesus. In time, that growing faith community built a brick church on the hilltop, a visible reminder of God’s presence and His people in this place.

Through seasons of change, growth, and renewal, the church has continued to gather, worship, and serve the community. Today, we stand grateful for that legacy while looking ahead with vision and faith.

Our desire is to build a space that will serve future generations, a place where people can gather to worship our Lord together, encounter the hope of the Gospel, and experience genuine Christian community. We envision a building that will continue to be known as the church on the hill: visible, welcoming, and deeply connected to the people around it.

This space is being designed to:

• Welcome the community to enjoy the views, the land, and the space itself

• Clearly communicate the Christian message and the hope found in Jesus

• Demonstrate that The Village Church exists for the community, not separate from it

• Create a lasting home for worship, discipleship, and future generations of ministry

Everything we build is grounded in the values that shape who we are:

• Disciple the Nations - helping people grow in faith and share the message of Jesus with others

We believe this project is about far more than a building. It is about creating a place where lives are transformed, community is strengthened, and the name of Jesus is lifted high for generations to come.
